Daedeok Techno Valley is approximately 4.27 million squared miles of commercial, residential, common, leisure and industrial land. Techno Valley is an area in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon Metropolitan City, including Gwanpyeong, Yongsan and Taplip-dong, and located between the Gyeongbu Expressway (Sintanjin IC) and the Honam Expressway (Daedeok Valley IC). Techno Valley is developing into a "culture-friendly complex" with a waterside park, beautifully themed streets with different types of trees, and is planning to hold periodic cultural events. Approximately 8,770 households currently reside in Techno Valley, either in the 12 housing complexes, single houses or villas. There are many elementary, middle and high schools, as well as a big supermarket. Taejon Christian International School (TCIS) plans on moving to Techno Valley in 2010. Although a bit isolated from the rest of Daejeon, Daedeok Techno Valley is liked by many for its calmness and peacefulness.

Taejon Christian International School (TCIS) is the only international school in Daejeon. It has been one of the biggest international schools in Korea for the last 50 years. Although located next to Hannam University right now, TCIS plans on moving to the Daedeok Techno Valley area in 2010.

Techno Valley Bakeries

Paris Baguette: Paris Baguette is a bakery store, selling all sorts of baked goods and cakes. There are two Paris Baguettes in Techno Valley.

Tous Les Jours: Tous Les Jours is a bakery similar to Paris Baguette. Tous Les Jours sells many baked goods and cakes as well.

Dunkin Donuts: famous for their donuts and coffee.
