The region around Daejeon Station and Woosong University, including the student quarters of Jayang-dong and the Samseong Intersection. Dong-gu is undergoing enormous rennovations, including the construction of the new Korail national headquarters, the rebuilding of the entire region around Daejeon Station as a residential and shopping district and the construction of the new Dong-gu International Culture Center.
The old neighborhoods of winding roads, quaint side streets and family markets are quickly disappearing. The new buildings like the SolBridge International School of Business are most impressive.
