The region around Daedeok Blvd. just to the north of the Gapcheon River. The older homes here are made of brick with attractive wide yards and many flowers. There are several fine restaurants, two of Daejeon's star cafes and some of the most pleasant streets for an afternoon walk. Along Daedeok Blvd. are several furniture stores with excellent selections of top-of-the-line replicas.
